The order is not one person’s tasting. Every rating anybody leaves feeds the CMI score, and this page is recalculated from all of them each time it loads — so a milk that was third last month and has been reviewed twice since is wherever those reviews put it, not where it was when somebody published an article.
How the score works. Quality and taste are rated on separate axes, and only quality moves the number. Taste descriptors — how chocolatey it is, how sweet, how thick — describe a milk without judging it, because “very sweet” is a fact about a milk and not a fault. A milk’s score is the plain average of every overall rating it has been given, so a milk with one review shows that reviewer’s number rather than one adjusted on their behalf.
